1. Counselling

A counselling session is a confidential, supportive space where you can talk openly about your thoughts, feelings and experiences. In each session, Michelle works alongside you at your own pace, helping you explore challenges, gain insight and develop practical ways to cope and move forward.

Sessions may involve conversation, reflective exercises or mindfulness practices, depending on your needs and preferences. The focus is always on creating a safe, respectful environment where you feel heard, understood, and supported.

Face-to-face sessions can take place in the comfort of Michelle's practice room, in the security of your own home, or in a mutually agreed upon location.

Online sessions are available also. Online sessions require you to have access to the internet via smartphone, laptop or desktop computer that are video and audio enabled. It is important that you find a quiet, private place where you feel comfortable to share knowing you will not be disturbed.

2. Art Therapy

Art therapy is a gentle, trauma-informed approach to counselling that uses creative expression to support healing. When experiences feel overwhelming or too difficult to put into words, art-making can offer a safe and non-verbal way to explore and process your experience.

You don’t need any artistic skill—there is no pressure to create anything “good.” The focus is on the process of art-making and on using simple materials like drawing, painting or collage to express feelings, build a sense of safety, and reconnect with yourself at your own pace.

Art therapy can help regulate the nervous system, support emotional expression and gradually make sense of difficult experiences, all within a supportive and compassionate environment.

Face-to-face sessions can take place in the comfort of Michelle's practice room, in the security of your own home, or in a mutually agreed upon loaction.

Online art therapy sessoins are also available. Online art therapy requires you to have your own art supplies: paper and coloured pastels are a great starting point. Online sessions require you to have access to the internet via smartphone, laptop or desktop computer that are video and audio enabled. It is important that you find a quiet, private place where you feel comfortable to share knowing you will not be disturbed.

3. Walk and Talk

Walk and Talk Therapy is a counselling session held outdoors while walking in the natural surroundings of the Dunsborough area. Sessions may take place along local beach paths, coastal tracks or nearby bushland trails, depending on preference and accessibility.

Walking side-by-side in nature can help support a sense of ease and openness, making it easier for some people to talk, reflect and process thoughts and emotions at a gentle pace. The natural environment can support grounding, calm and nervous system regulation.

Locations are arranged in advance and are subbject to changeable weather. Walk and Talk requires comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.

Confidentiality is supported, though public outdoor spaces mean occasional encounters with others.
