Reset Saturday

A gentle 2-minute reset you can try anywhere:
· Pause and notice your breath. You don’t need to change it, just notice it.
· For these 2 minutes, there is nowhere else for you to be, nothing else for you to do.
· Breathe in for a count of 4 and out slowly for a count of 6-8, repeat a few times, then allow your breath to return to normal.
· Feel your feet on the ground. Notice how your feet feel.
· Look around and name 3 things you can see. If it feels right to, extend this and name 3 things you can hear.
· Let your shoulders soften. Let your jaw unclench. Allow your face to relax.
You don’t need a long stretch of time to begin settling your nervous system. Small moments like this can make a difference.
Even something as simple as standing by the ocean or stepping outside for fresh air can help bring you back to the present.
